After deciding to go with my game idea, I started to look into anime openings to get inspiration. I found one I really like called ‘black clover’
I thought I could recreate this with characters that I design.
I started designing my first character
Ive yet to finish it but it should be done soon. I struggled quite a bit with the costume design, i would like to have characters with more interesting clothing.
I do intend to create more diverse characters; I would really like to attempt male characters also. In order to get the shadows on the background right, i plan to use a wooden model and a light source in different areas.
My next step is to continue making characters while also storyboarding what the rest of the trailer would look like (I have ideas I’ve just yet to visualise them).
