After playing with the background, I decided to play with the foreground and see what medium I should use for the animal. I also decided that I would focus my attention on birds.

I used colouring pencils with a touch of white markers during this drawing. I liked how it came out but decided to play around with more mediums.

The top drawing was done using only markers and the bottom drawing was done using only colouring pencils ( I outlined it with a black fine-liner to see if it would stand out more). Doing this didn’t really help as I was still confused as to what would look best with the kind of background I was going to do. I decided to place these drawings on different backgrounds to see what they would look like

I thought that the drawings looked best with the watercolour backgrounds (middle row) so to test it out I did another quick water colour background and placed the drawings on top of it as well.
